On Saturday, May 25th Smilezone held their 9th Hoc

On Saturday, May 25th Smilezone held their 9th Hockey Helping Kids Tournament! We had an amazing day filled with hockey, a Silent auction, a kid’s zone, chuck a puck, raffles and hot stove interviews!

This day wouldn’t have been possible without all the wonderful volunteers, players and celebrity pros that made this day come together so well!

We can’t thank you enough for all the hard work you contributed to this day and hope you had a great time at the tournament!

Over the past weekend we completed the instalment of our new Smilezone at the Dauphin Regional Health Centre!

Thank you to the Tim Hortons in Halifax for their amazing fundraising efforts during the Smile Cookie Campaign! The Tims in Halifax raised $ 168,127.83!

We wanted to give a big thank you to the amazing team at Sydney & Port Hawkesbury, Tim Hortons for their amazing fundraising efforts for the Smile Cookie Campaign! The Sydney and Port Hawkesbury Tims raised over $100,000 to support the new installment of Smilezones at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation. The funds
will be used to install a renovated waiting area & patient space for children and families.

“We are grateful to local Tim Hortons restaurants for choosing the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation as the recipient of Smile Cookies proceeds once again, and to guests for their continued support of health care in Cape Breton,” said Caitlyn MacDonald, Manager of Philanthropy for the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation. “This year’s efforts were outstanding and will directly impact patient experience in Pediatrics at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. This Unit sees approximately 200 patients per year, and we are beyond excited to partner with the Smilezone Foundation to transform spaces within the Unit to uplift those undergoing medical journeys.”
